No Live Preview in Safari 9? Solved!

With every new version of OS X (nowadays on a yearly cycle) Apple moves forward and step by step leaves behind old QuickTime supported formats, relaying on HTML5 video to play such kind of media.

That means that current OS 10.11 version (El Capitan) silently undertakes the Plugin support for some legacy formats.

Fortunately for all of those who still dealing with, i.e. AAC Audio files, there’s a way to get a Live Preview when repairing them using MP4repair.org service.

Procedure consists in moving out of from the Disabled Plug-Ins folder the files “nslQTScriptablePlugin.xpt” and “QuickTime Plugin.plugin“. Then a restart of Safari would be required to use the new enabled Plug-Ins.

Please make sure your Internet Plug-Ins folder looks like below picture.

You can also check at any time whether a web is using such Plug-Ins by inspecting the Safari’s Security pane. Make sure MP4repair.org is allowed to use them in order to get best repair experience possible.
